Been helping out at a booth in south western Sydney since last Friday as I've mentioned. Had my first day off today and got a call from another 'No' campaigner this evening. Apparently he had an unpleasant incident with a 'Yes' voter at the booth today. Took exception to our "Say No to the Voice of Division" spiel. Confronted our lad with "This is not your country!". At this point I should add our lad is of ' Asian appearance ' . He was born here but his parents were born overseas. He is as proud an Aussie as I am. He stood his ground and told this whackjob "This is my country too!". A bit of push and shove ensued. Police were called but never fronted.
I guess the moral of this story is the exact reason why we are supporting this 'No' campaign. We don't want divsion by race.

The government has tried to argue that Voice and Treaty are not linked. However, Linda Burney said otherwise in 2020. She also seemed to indicate that treaty...
