One of my mates said he heard Fittler being interviewed after the game and he was glowing in his praise of Wighton. For the life of me, I can't understand why. I rate Jack Wighton but didn't think he really came up with too many positives out there. It reminds me of the Tyrone Peachy situation last year. Fittler had a love affair going with him at the the time and I remember him saying when Roberst got binned in Game 2 that he had to get Peachy out there because he felt safer when he was on the field. It was a really strange comment as its not like Peachy is a particularly great defender.

How smug and smarmy did Fittler look - pains me to say it, but I'm hoping a NSW loss on Sunday night will wipe that smirk of his face. Couldn't believe he took yet another cheap shot at Latrell. I haven't thought much of the bloke since 09 but my estimation of him is getting lower by the day. He is morphing into a clone of his fwit mentor Gould.

Wow!!!! I can't believe it has all blown up like this. QLD are the only ones that are going to benefit from this. I mean Gus has NFI. He IMO is the one to blame for starting the media blow up after SOO1.

I agree Freddie and his fellow selectors have made a massive mistake by not choosing Latrell. He is the best centre in the world and should be there.... But really Latrell (and I'm sure most of you would agree) hasn't been playing up to his usual high standards. Let's not forget it's not the first time a coach has dropped Latrell. Remember when Robbo pulled him and then dropped him for a couple of weeks after that Brisbane game in 2017.

I'm not standing up for Freddie but no one player is bigger than the game. If Latrell didn't meet the team expectations (and let's face it he didn't have a good game in SOO1) then he shouldn't have his place guaranteed necessarily. After all, Walker who had a worse game than Latrell was dropped as well.

Someone like Robbo needs to be in Latrell's ear telling him not to throw away his origin career, but to take Freddie's advise, find his smile back and start playing some great f*#kin football again.

Personal experience with Freddy I tell you the guy is an absolute dick.

This will test Latrell's character. Great players cop it on the chin and then come back a better person and player. If Latrell is going to have a hissy fit over this then I think it proves he is not mentally tough enough to play origin at the moment. Maybe Fittler know's a bit more than what has been reported. Of course, some of the garbage in the media is not helping.
