That's sounds the life, also had a friends 50th a few years back where he hired a boat on the harbour and we were jumping off and swimming around the Vaucluse Bay area, he had hired a house on Cockatoo Island so we went back there and had cake and bubbles before we caught the ferry back and the birthday boy and his family stayed on the island.Originally posted by milanja View Post

we had it for 5hrs. Did the pyrmont cockatoo island, then stopped for a swim near Tauranga zoo, then chinamans beach and Elizabeth bay, catering on board was from merivale , they had really nice prawns and bugs, lamb cutlets.
the time just went really quickly though.

The food sounds great, especially the prawns and bugs, ours wasn't quite as luxurious, ham and chicken, bread rolls and salads but still it was nice on the water then going back to Cockatoo Island, the accommodation there was very nice.Originally posted by milanja View Post

Summer is a bummer (to quote Neil from the Young Ones).
I hate it. In fact, I think I might also hate the sun (except on a cool winters day, then I seek it out). Once the temp goes above 20 degrees I'm lookin for shade.
We may yet get some hot March days, but even now, the change in air temp is a blessing.

Just had someone finally come out and look at the roof and the section where the tree banch hit has caused quiet a bit of damage to the tiles and ridge capping and is exactly where we had the damage to the bedroom ceiling during that last major rain event that happened in Feb. It is now in the hands of the strata agent for the next move.Originally posted by mightyrooster View Post
Good luck with it. Insurance companies are pains but a necessary evil.

Oh, at least they’ve found it now. Hopefully it can be repaired before the next big downpour.Originally posted by horrie hastings View Post
