how about an ageing Mark Omeally, actually tried pretty hard for the roosters but we paid overs for a spent force.

      Braith Anasta/
Was signed to huge hype. Marquee player and given a mortgage on the 6. Was spruiked to be the "next Freddy Fitler".
Never made the 6 his own. Fitler himself as coach flicked him to Lock and the infamous fullback disaster. Anasta sooked and went back to 6 where he led the Roosters to a wooden spoon.
Smith yanked Anasta to Lock mid season and replaced him with Todd Carney. Immediately the roosters attack that had been inept for 4 years was transformed. The dominant 6 led the Roosters to the finals.

You can measure a player on how their predessor performs in the same team. Anasta vs Carney......lol

What part of "worst ever" do you people not understand? How can you throw up these middle-of-the-roaders when there are still pictures, freely available to the unsuspecting public, of Paul Vautin in a Roosters Jersey.

The ONLY SINGLE GOOD THING about that fathead signing for our club was the day he retired and was replaced by a young local bench forward by the name of Ricketson.
It's scientifically impossible for Easts to be in Souths' shadow when there's daylight between them and us.
        Easts to win

Thanks all.. it seems that the winner is ....... Paul Vautin, closely followed by Dale Shearer, however my favourites are Braith Anasta , the man who's feet were NEVER going to fill the massive boots of B.Fittler and Chris Walker who's idea of tackle is something that swings between his brothers (not his) legs!!

Mark Edmonson, the front rower we signed from Wigan was terrible.

Somebody mentioned Paul Mares and you young'uns probably can't remember him. If you're going to mention Mares you also have to throw in his mate Mick Delroy. The Sorensen brothers also deserve a mention.

Add 2008, his last year at the Dogs to the list too. We cannot forget they finished last.

So, Willie's proud legacy over the past three years in the NRL, and most likely his last 3 years because he's washed up and unwanted, reads like this:
                    2008 Dogs Wooden Spooners.
                    2009 Roosters Wooden Spooners.
2010 Nth Qld Wooden Spooners (realistically, we all know The Storm have won more games than them).

Oh Willie, what a way to bow out! .

                            Neither did Vautin.

As Woody Allen and the Steve Miller Band said "Fly like an eagle."

Uh, no I mean "Take the money and run."
