  • Robbo interview on the Rush Hour today

For those who didn't hear it live Robbo talked about the new leadership structure with a trio of captains Teddy/JWH/Keary and a new sub leadership group of younger guys Butcher, Crichton, Radley, Manu, Collins.

He also talked about the Keary/Walker partnership and how good it was to have Keary back.

Finally some injury related news both JWH and Manu are currently dealing with knee injuries.

Interview starts at 9 minutes for anyone who wants to listen

Teddy, JWH and Keary as 'captains' then Collins, Manu, Radley, Butcher and Crichton have been voted to support the others.

Interesting. Does this mean 3 captains for 2022?

I’m assuming that means the captain pecking order, in case of injuries etc

Not undeserved, but interesting seeing Rads. Butcher and Collins in there. Puts cold water on any suggestions that Butcher's gonna struggle to get a spot.

Also, he made it clear Keary's significantly faster & more advanced than Walker. Weighs into those discussions about who's #7. If all his talk about the #7 being more of a leader (last pre-season) mean anything, I'd say Keary will be co-captain and #7 in 2022. IMO those saying Walker's #7 simply because that's where he played when Keary got injured don't really have a logical reason why Keary would lose his #7 jersey to a youngster.

Id be happy with JWH as our sole captain with Teddy and kez as vice, when he isnt on the field.

I feel he deserves the honour

JWH already has the highest honor of all the players ....he leads the victory song !
Nobody hammers an esky or wheelie bin lid like JWH does !

Think Keary and Teddy are co-captains. JWH is vice-captain.

Teddy and Kez for me Co Captains. Jazza too hot headed to be a skipper IMO. Vice will do him well, although it would be awesome to see the big fella lead us out one time before he hangs them up.

Bromwich and Proctor tried, but instead they ended up going nose first and accidentally faceplanting themselves on the bin.

As if that was ever going to happen. Nat's an Origin player of the future.

What position do you think Nat could play Origin ?

butcher will be 25 by the time origin rolls around, he would hope the future is pretty soon, and I don’t see him anywhere near the guys who were there last year.

I like Nat but the only way he's playing Origin is if we get a lot of injuries

Not sure if he'll make it, the role is the tight fwd that comes on at 25 mins and does all the dirty work around the ruck to ensure no holes
