Doing that, something usually gets broken.
Taking the ball up, making as many metres as possible, not getting pushed backwards, not losing the ball, and maybe safely offloading it....are what's required.
So how do you make metres and not get pushed back if you're not running hard at the defensive line?

Fact. The Roosters were trying to offload him immediately.

Thats a props job description cobber.

If a prop isn't there to run as straight and hard as he can into the opposition defence, then what is he there for?

Did you get that from the secret underground Facebook page?
Robbo pretty much said that was all BS.

I can smell a big signing in the air.
            I hope it's PH

Baker, Butcher and the other young guns will all be ready to win games and the comp in 2023?
              Maybe.
Cashed up in 2023? on SST's contract money?
              Don't think so.
Agreed Sir. My hope with JWH is that once he is done being the big dog he can step down to playing off the bench and be there for more mins if occasionally required, and also to be there to support the young ones coming through.

We could get another couples of years out of him that way.

I said it all on here long before it was public that The Roosters wanted to cut SST. Do you honestly expect our coach to come out publicly and admit that we want to cut a player who currently is under contract with us?

I hope you don’t drown in your naivety.

You are right. I should believe what I read on a forum.

This needs to be a sticky, its up there with Teddy, Our worst ever signing.
Its the funniest thing I have ever read on the Chookpen.

Tell Collins to stop running hard at the opposition, that will do me.

Yeah, I hope so too. Used perhaps in a similar way to how Sia Soliola was used at Canberra in his later years.

If used carefully, JWH could push through for another 3 years. Part of me thinks its likely, just purely due to his competitiveness...he doesn't know how to quit. Prop however, if really fkn hard on the body and he does have a permanent sternum injury.

Petro Civinoceva made it to age 36 playing first grade prop, although not that many props get that far while still playing at an optimum level.

                      Here's hoping.

Gallen went til 38, but with injury niggles already for JWH, I don’t think he plays past his contract.

Fair enough. You don’t know me personally. The guys on the forum who do know me will tell you that I’m not the type to come on here and post BS.

When Robo said that comment it was unprompted and in context of another discussion. Nobody directly asked him and it was like he really wanted to make a point that it was rubbish! He didn’t have to say anything if their was truth to what you say! And I’m not diminishing your “inside” knowledge, but on this one it sounds off the mark.

FWIW, i'll back-up Thirteen about this one because at the time, i too was told from a reliable outlet. I remember adding to the post where's there's smoke there's fire.
Look, the club wouldn't stand in a players way if better playing/family opportunities were on offer. As much as they would like to have SST stick around as a senior leader it would be more a situation of thanks for your services.
