  • Marty Taupau - 2022?

According to EverythingRugbyLeague - ‘Manly has given Marty Taupau permission to look else where’.

    Worth a look at?
    thoughts…

I’d say it’s possible with Isaac leaving and those rumours out TKO leaving don’t seem to be going away.

that would see us going into next season with the only inclusion up front in a returning Lindsay Collins and the bulldogs recruits Renouf Atoni.

but I’d be less surprised if we don’t recruit Marty.

Too many basket case clubs will throw too much money at him. Good player.

Initial report is back to the Tiggers…

      Suits the basket case comment..

imagine Marty with our boys, if only he’d make that sacrifice to buy in.

Maybe just for one year. He is a decent player who can offload.

I like Marty but i think his best footy is behind him. Just my opinion. If we could get him for unders definitely but at this stage of his career i would say he will cash in.

If we miss out on Sims I would take Marty for a couple years for the right price.

I thought he would be great for us before but personally I don’t like him now. Too much into his hair plus he acts like a victim.

I guess it depends on what his motivation is. Money or a premiership.

Build it they will come. We develope and breed the roosters way. Not buy other teams problems

No definitely not. Odd person, would never fit into our culture.

Develop the Youngsters instead - Baker / Hau Tapuha/Whyte/ Thomas - plus some others like Nick Fenton a front rower who played SG Ball and then was promoted to Jersey Flegg when SG Ball concluded this season a player of the future in my view along with a few others in SG Ball/Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup - Sandon Smith/ Ronny Volkman/Jordan Swan/Joshua Wong/Tyler Moriarty/Vuate Karawalevu/Jeff Tatupu

We have front rowers! I believe those two brothers from Brisbane are going to be MACHINE'S! If we miss Sims who plays on a edge for origin an would be perfect speedy middle man then leave it at that! Train the future

Why not? I dont recall him ever being in trouble. Did I forget something?

I actually reckon we missed the boat on him anyway. I would have been all barred up if he was to come here years ago instead of Manly.
