Not sure the NRL has thought this out or it's in the spirit of the game. - A player going off under such circumstances should be off the field for 15 minutes same as HIA or some period of time and or replace the player that replaced them.

The Storm continue to play the refs like the idiots that they are.
The Munster one is a floor in the system as say Bellamy was going to interchange one of the props - the "foul play" allows Bellamy to take Munster off and replace him with an Interchange player a prop in this example that was to replace the prop he was going to interchange - When Munster comes back on he replaces the prop that was to be originally interchanged - these are free interchanges.
Munster should be off the field for a certain period of time and when he goes back on he replaces the interchange player that replaced him not another player.Last edited by King Salvo; 04-18-2021, 10:29 PM.

Storm should be stripped of 2 competition points for cheating. It’s in their DNA. It’s how they operate. They have now admitted Munster took a dive to get a free interchange. That can’t be fair. PVL has to wake up that he’s enabling the Storm. Rather than penalizing them for introducing and ‘perfecting’ wrestling, he introduces the 6 again across the board to quicken the game, and results in more serious injuries. Mark my words, PVL will ruin the game. There’s a new rule, or new interpretation just about every week. Ridiculous. We need some wiser heads to take back control of the game, otherwise we’ll have teams like the Storm defining what the future of rugby league will be.

That was just a classic act by Munster to get Rads the maximum penalty. The legs straightened together cleverly to simulate a knocked out person falling.
I so wish a ref would call a cheaters bluff in that situation. Theres no Bill Harrigans these days unfortunately.
At least our guys don't play that game, and sadly you are relying on everyone to be honest which doesn't happen.

Papenhuyzen should not be allowed to come back on the field as he exhibited Cat 1 symptoms of concussion ( loss of consciousness and no protective action in fall to ground)
Cat 1 = automatically ruled out of game
Cat 2 = removed from field and a HIA performed/
Cat 1 symptoms
Clinical features including abnormal neurological signs of a serious of structural head and or necy injusry requiring emergency management and hospital transfer.
Confirmed loss of consciousness
No protective action in fall to ground
Traumatic convulsion
Impact seizures
Unsteady on feet
memory impairment
Disorientated or confused
Behavioural change atypical of the player
Cat 2 Symptoms
Possible loss of consciousness
Loss of responsiveness ( player is motionless until staff arrive)
Possible impact seizure
Possible balance disturbance
Suspected facial injury or facial fracture
Any other sign that may indicate concussion.
Thanks for NRL Phyisio for providing the list

OR
Admit that Munster and Grant both should've come from the field for HIA's and face massive repercussions.
In this case telling the truth was the smart option, don't be fooled into thinking they did this in the spirit of honesty and fairness.

My problem with the Storm is that they crossover from ruthless to psychopathic when they intentionally injure opposition players. In that game last year they intentionally broke Keary's ribs, and intentionally headslammed Cordner. There is no thought that it could end Cordner's career or potentially worse. It is purely about the competitive advantage by injuring their main opposition.

They did nothing wrong. Perception is not reality.
Not only as someone mentioned is there a spotter in the bunker watching video. There is an independent Dr at the game that is also monitoring things. They also have access to any video they want.
There are plenty of situations where a player is tested on field and appears ok but subsequent viewing of the incident warrants a more in depth test. Also alot of times the on field test will be done well before the incident can be thoroughly viewed.
If a player lies there with their eyes closed does not mean they are unconscious. I have had several that simply are fatigued and are relaxing after being dropped, sometimes they require an off field HIA sometimes they don't
99% of club's Drs will not bend the rules. The club I know that has done something I would not in terms if HIA is Souths. The "early return" to play for Reynolds was a disgrace and a flagrant abuse of a player. I don't care if the player feels fine, if they fail an off field HIA then they miss 1 week at least.
The scrutiny and stuff bandied around the internet about concussion and the actions taken by clubs is generally fuelled by ignoranceThe Internet is a place for posting silly things
Try and be serious and you will look stupid
