The NRL will be okay & so will everyone else. This corona virus won’t be as bad as what some people think.

If players are forced to take pay cuts as can happen in their contact if an ‘act of god’ crisis stops the financial income of the code/clubs, can/does that make players free agents?

Because we are lemmings throwing ourselves off a cliff...apparently. And because big Terry does it..

Every week NRL isn't played that's $14m lost in revenue.

Let’s contact with others means less chance of people getting sick.

The NRL has been decimated not by corona but by the Mighty Roosters! Double back to back premierships can never be achieved again. It’s all over - Roosters are declared the best ever club to ever play Rugby League.

Also a big threat of Chinese investors and companies coming over and buying out our financially crippled industries
Only if our govt is dumb enough to let them.
This leads people to believe the theory that China started the virus on purpose so that it could do exactly that, take over the West/world's economies.
An increasing number of radio callers are believing the theory.

Just about everything here has been sold off to China already...our dairy farms, major milk/juices brands etc, the port of Darwin.
China, taking over the world one farm, one company, one industry, one country at a time.
Our dumb govts/Investment Revue Board just sign off on it all.
Alan Jones spends much of his time attacking our politicians for "not reading anything, not knowing anything, and not knowing the difference between "investment" and "ownership".

                    Good question.
Certainly makes them unemployed...if the worst happens.
What other jobs could they get paying big money?

Will be weird to see Toops packing shelves at the local shops - at least he’ll be able to reach the top shelf!

The clubs and the fat contract players are a distant concern.

It’s you lot, real or not, that are mine.

Atm no grant from Easts Leagues Club...no hope, no Roosters.
Before this virus disaster our main man said that a grant from the Leagues Club
would not be needed in a few years time.
Now the news says that the
govt man is thinking of closing all pubs and restaurants...and probably clubs.
                            ...

I seem to be one of only a few people who have kept their head while all around are losing theirs. The NRL survived that mother-rooting bastard Rupert Murdoch and it’ll survive this situation.

The Roosters own quite a few large properties around the Eastern Suburbs - if absolutely desperate they'll sell those but yes the Leagues club having to close indefinitely is a concern for them
