  • Elephant in the Room: Who Kicks Goals Next Year?

I think we all saw when Flash Gordon left what a huge impact not having a dedicated Goal Kicker has on a team. With no Latrell looking likely next year, who takes the kicking tee? I know SST has stepped up in the past but he won't be playing 80 minutes.

I support two NRL teams, the Roosters and whoevers playing Souths

      Yep.
Flanno with the great SST as back up.
I think Keary has a boot on him which he may have to start practising.

There’s no Elephant mate. It’s pretty obvious it’s going to be Flanagan.

(But at least it’s not another Latrell thread).

But is Flanagan a guaranteed starter? He hasn't particularly set the world on fire at Cronulla.

What if Lam impresses and gets the gig?

Yes I feel that Flanagan will lock down the #7 and become our regular goal kicker. SST goes okay but he doesn't fill me with confidence.

He didn’t get a go at Cronulla cause their pussy of a coach didn’t have the balls to drop their marquee signing Johnson who was absolutely shit for them. When he played first grade he was impressive.

Feel like Lam is borderline myth.

I agree. He should go over to Super League and be a star. I don’t care who his father is.

Only borderline? He's Jayden Nikorima mark II.

I really like what I saw from Flanno Jr. A very polished, composed half with a good short kicking game.

What's his defence like? Because he's replacing the best defensive halfback I've seen since Joey.

100% Flanagan impressed in his starts at Cronulla. Their side had a tonne of injuries and Flanagan looked like a genuine first grader immediately when he filled in.

20 pies in 26 games is a good strike rate for a half.
                          Albeit at NYC level.
24 was the top for that year.

I don't think Lam is remotely close to getting the number 7 jersey. Got to question the motivation of a guy who chooses to holiday in Bali over playing Test football for his nation.

Wow he made that choice?! That's a stunningly idiotic decision. Play for your country or be a Bali bogan? Easy bloody choice.
