I have bagged Rads during his stint at 9 a bunch of time, but he has given 100% and run himself ragged every game despite probably not really wanting to play there ans knowing it is not his best position.

Like stated above, it probably cost him $90k and an origin debut as well.

Almost think he needs a week off when nugget is back.

      Radley can.

Trent is about defence. Build the wall. Maintain the line.
I agree with that. It’s undervalued how good Jake is. Playing 80min out in the middle is asking a lot for a young lightweight like Verrils. In saying that, when Jake does return I would be happy for Verrils to relieve Jake off the bench. It would give the young guy more game time and experience and then hopefully when Jake hangs up the boots we have a ready made dummy half.

Verrills resigned with us because he knows he has a future here for the next couple of years. He will learn at one of the best clubs and next year he will deputise for Jake or even play a utility role when he gets more experienced. After that he’ll either stay at this club with a future or he may seek to be a starter at some phoney club.

Funny that Robbo said in the press conference that Rads will be massaging Jake’s biceps all weekends.

I don’t think anyone is more excited to have Friend back than Rads. What he has done for the team should be appreciated. He didn’t ask to play out of position. It most likely cost him an origin gig too.

Rads will be having BEERS, BEERS and more BEERS when Jake is back.

Utility? What position can he play apart from 9? Isn’t he a specialist 9?

Well you never know...Victor was never considered to be a hooker but he developed into it. Watson was supposed to be a fullback but he became a utility player...That Taupin for the broncos is supposed to be a hooker but has been playing in the halves while McCulloch has been on... He is young and if Robbo wants to develop his game further, he will...I believe he has the qualities to be more than a hooker. We'll see...

Whats interesting is a couple of months ago Robbo said that Victor could be a world class hooker......then last night he said Victor will "rub Friends injured bicep all week" to make sure he plays!

Victor has done a job for the team. He doesn't like hooker- the extra workload slows his running attacking ball playing game....and also his stinging "Victor the Inflictor " hits have dropped away. However its a team sport and you got to do what the coach needs you to do for the team. Kudos to Vic

I said this after about one game.
Victor can fill in but the problem is that he is go good as a ball playing back rower that we have now weakened two positions.
Now I Trust in Trent and he has his reasons so this is only my opinion and just want to start a talking point.
No way, to early. What we lose with Victor at DH is better than what we lose with Verrils starting. He is still to inexperienced.

I wouldn't underestimate him...I think he went decent minutes in a game earlier this year, and held his own surprisingly considering his lack of game time this year.

I think Sam is the next big thing in the hooking ranks & if he is offered a first grade gig elsewhere he will be off IMO but I hope he stays with the Chooks. I didnt see him play last night but I watched the 4 minute highlights & he was very good.

Maybe we can loan him out to another side for a year, similar to what you see in the EPL

He was very good today! He'll probably be like Mortimer for a few years before taking over Jake.

                                When is he off contract?

It may have only been the Titans but everything he does is so crisp... a strong defender, excellent DH service, a good running game, and also looks a smart decision maker.
