  • I thought the Tigers played well.

Carved us out wide all night.

I had real concerns with the Marsters try too. And when you consider that Victor, and I think Nat, fell off Matterson trying to hit him too hard close to the line instead of making an effective tackle the Tigers were never really that close. We need time to reset combinations. Put Friend, Teddy and Boyd in the side and we'll be good to go. We can't have much more bad luck with injuries can we?

Team against the Cowboys could look like this.

        Teddy
        Hall
        Morris
        Latrell
        Toups
        Keary
        Cronk
        JWH
        Friend
        SST
        Maubs
        Crichton
        Radley

        Butcher
        Liu
        Tetevano
        Sitili

That would be the strongest team we have named since round 1.
Not bad when you consider itís still missing Cords and Manu. Back to back is back on track.

BTW based on last night Angus and Butch may swap.

Agreed, whilst I wasnít enjoying the scoreboard I was loving the big shifts by the Tigers on the second or third tackle. High risk, high reward and the Tigers were executing perfectly and causing our defence havoc. It was great footy.

So refreshing compared to the standard 4 hit ups, backline shift on 5th and kick on the last. For 60 minutes it was a highly entertaining game.

Fortunately, last 20 minutes Tigers were totally fatigued and we switched on with some Keary and Latrell brilliance and then grinded it out with great defense.

Great respect to the way the Tigers played. I thought we were going down halfway through the second half.

Imagine what a bad place we would all be in today if that had happened?

Nobody is in a lot of strife playing the Cows. They stink.

Nowhere near as busy as Toops. Morris will be ahead of him when we are full strength.

Another casual 200m+ plus from the big fella; plus the match turning run to kick off the set for Radley's try.

He can improve defensively but I feel as though as fans we're focusing entirely on what he does wrong and giving little credit to all the things he's doing right.

                  Good post Worthless.

I too love it when a coach tries a different attacking approach. Credit to Madge. Gave his team a shot.
My friend keeps saying "Cheer up mate it could be worse. You could be stuck underground in a hole full of water". I know he means well.

not talking about numbers, at times he was defending 1 in and made some poor decisions including rushing up and letting the opp get behind him
and while getting caught with numbers are not entirely a wingers fault, the decisions they make when it happens are important and sometimes his were poor.
But they seemed to fix it as a team and there were def some positives for him

Finch is obviously still dirty with the club.

Wish he would remember who paid his wages and who saved him from being a bum on the streets.

Then he will do us all a favour and shut up.

                          • Good game I thought. The Tigers surprised me they played an entertaining style of footy that nearly had the Roosters. The Roosters were running on 4 cylinders up until Manu went off when they then went up a notch running on 6 cylinders but never got to running on all 8 cylinders. Keary was the difference & the best Roosters player which enabled Mitchell to play at about 3/4 of his ability. Latrell scared the sh!t out of the ref after he scored, Ive never seen that before. Just on a few of the Roosters players, Ive read a lot of posts on here about Ryan Hall & how good he is but Ive gotta say watching from the stands the bloke would have to be the slowest winger in the comp & I cannot see him in the top 17 if everyone is fit. On the other hand or wing Tupou was outstanding he was able to make plenty of yardage nearly every time he touched the ball he was in the top 3 of the Roosters players. People on here put Radley down for his dummy half play which I dont think is as bad as made out & to me he was very good last night in attack & defence & unless Im wrong played whole heartedly for the entire 80 minutes so he was also in my top 3. The guy who I am most impressed with though is Sitili Toupana he is so hard to handle & he has to be in the top 17. I think like most of us know if & its a big if the Roosters get their best 17 on the paddock I cant see any team beating them but that is going to be the challenge for the club & they will need some luck. One other thing Tetevano will get a week for that incident with Brooks.

                            • It's the best stadium I've ever watched footy at. Had seats on the 20m line in the upper deck and felt very close to the action.

Looking forward to what we get at Moore Park, but would prefer it was a bit smaller. 13 000 last night and the atmosphere was alright, but you'd figure it would be rocking with another few thousand. Still, for big games (Anzac Day, v Souths, semis) our new stadium should be something else.

he made more runs and more metres than Toops, how can you say he's nowhere near as busy?
