  • The Dumbest Rule in Rugby League

The rule change to one on one strips a couple years ago has got to be one of the dumbest decisions of all time. This isn't rugby union

I'm sure they work on it all week long in Mexico.

Which is strange considering how much union he’s played.

            The rule isn’t that bad..

The thing is he’s a union player..
so if anyone understands it’s a live ball, it’s him.
            ..it’ll be interesting to see

Allowing yourself to be stripped like that is something that should not happen twice in a season let alone twice in a game.

What was the rule change? The Storm just strip the ball or rake it out on every tackle and the ref calls it a 'knock-on' against us.

Fark... the Storm frigging do a forward pass over a defending player and Gus is like 'THAT'S GENIUS AND SHOULD BE REWARDED!!!'

Next we'll have this game where you can rake the ball on every tackle... then after the tackle the attacking player's like 'TEN HUT MUDDK FUKKAZ!!!' before throwing a 30m forward pass for a touchdown. Dead set!!! Storm out-played us but there was some major bullshyte going on out there.

I've seen us be stripped about 50 times.

I've also seen us strip the ball many times and always knock on in the process. So never seen us do it successfully.

We're the best team in the NRL but the Masters of the Bonehead plays too unfortunately.

Before if there was two in the tackle at any stage, you couldn’t strip the ball, this year as long as everybody drops off the tackle, then one on one is allowed, Trent might let the players do it come finals.

Any strip should be a penalty.

Awful rule. You need to reward skill and deter mug plays.

We didn’t get outplayed by two points. We got handled by a milking grub who stepped forward into a defender to get a penalty in front. That was the only difference.

It's a dud rule , one minute you are struggling to gain every inch against three tacklers and as soon as your momentum stops and you relax one bloke grabs the ball and tells the others to drop off. NRL need to get rid of it asap.
