Yes we are down on troops.

Yes we have lost some games in a row. Could have easily won yesterday and the Brisbane game if it wasnít for a couple of dodgy calls and mistakes.

There is no need to go to pieces in here.

    We are the premiers.

We will end up top two.

We deserve to be premiership favourites.

Let the short memory span go.

    Trust in Trent.

    Go Easts.

Exactly right, you donít want to blame injuries but Morris, Latrell, Keary, JWH, Friend and Crichton as some pretty handy players that we were missing yesterday.

It's a long season. We are not having it all our way, but that builds resolve. We will start our run around 3 weeks after origin and it will be unstoppable. Roosters at full strength, peaking in September equals back to back. Go the chooks

You need your best 17 on the field & you need luck to win the comp. To be able to do that 2 years in a row is like winning lotto.

Everyone wants to beat the Premiers and will rise to the occasion to do so, that's to be expected as we were the yardstick to be measured against. That and injuries have taken their toll as well as players playing out of position have stymied our game but remember where we were last year and what the team accomplished, if the desire is there and we get our injured players back in time the team can give it a big shake.
We won 8 in a row playing at best 60 percent to our potential imagine it all coming together at the end of the year....If so special times ahead...

Time for the rest of the squad to stand up. The team isn't just the superstars that are out atm.

We have seen it happen before (13, 14, 15, 17, 18) under Robbo. We will still be at the right end of the ladder come the finals.

Remember no matter how bad it may seem at the moment, we should all thank our lucky stars that we aren't Vermin supporters. Life could be so much worse

Some good points Pie, saved me starting a new thread!

Given that we know other teams are always going to fire up to beat Easts, we have to dominate in the forwards. If we don't or our desire/motivation doesn't quite match theirs, we lose. Simple. It's happened in the last three games.

At this time of the year our attack looks clunkier than some other teams, and it was the same last year.

Then with some fit and fresher troops, Robbo trained us like a Melbourne Cup winner and we got the cash.

Can it happen again? I think Keary is the key.

No guarantee that Robbo was right to rest players, but he's playing the long game. I think he's acknowledged the difficult in going b2b and has diagnosed that one solution could be to have his players very fresh at the back end of the season. The extra freshness could make up for the 1% drop in intensity you get from having won it the previous year.
