  • Roosters Screwed Again

The NRL allowed James Segeyaro to play last week against us even though he wasn't registered. The Newtown Jets hadn't signed his clearance form yet.
The Roosters aren't going to lodge an official complaint but Broncos may lose points

Im a bit unsure how the Broncos would lose points if the NRL were the ones who cleared him to play knowing he was unregistered. My question is how the farkari does that situation even occur in the first place? If your previous employer hasn't signed off on your departure then you cant play until they do.....it's simple enough

I agree, He would have come over for peanuts just to get his first grade career back on track, he was such an obvious choice to replace an injured Friend and think it's an opportunity well and truly lost.

If he’s played without clearance from Newtown then he becomes an illegal replacement, like Scott Wilson for Souths 1988. The primary obligation is with the Broncos. Loss of 2 competition points. If NRL have also made a mistake, then someone loses their job.

Maybe that was because they didn’t think he would fit into our club culture? He has been to a few clubs.

Segeyaro is a flog and doesn't deserve to wear a Roosters jersey.

How the hell did the NRL even allow him to be named on Tuesday if he hadn't been cleared by his current club? Just disgraceful.

What is a flog ? If that's meant to mean a person of a dubious background then who the hell cares, he wouldn't be the first and we still have people like that still in the team. A short term signing to play dummy half for half the season is not a career make nor would have destroyed the club.

The Roosters have decided against lodging an official complaint.
