So what that he goes to rub and tug and has 4 engagements not go ahead?

" Tells a sponsor at at a club sponsor function to **** off when asked for a photo with his son"......did you just make that up?

Pearce was far from perfect but your right in saying some things are best left unsaid when theres no truth behind it.
He actually did grope the chick, that’s why the cops were involved like Stewart got off on a technicality

that should have read read a Double Bay Hotel my mistake

yes he was carried out by teammates more than once, as have others, as for being banned, ex team mates were the providers of this info, so I’ll take their word for it.

i was present at this sponsors night and in close proximity to where it happened, sponsor went straight to Steve Noyce

I wish he was the model citizen, but he was a disgrace and im glad his idiotic ways are continuing at another club

We all know that Pearce is no saint and that he has his issues in his personal life - but there are plenty worse than him playing in the NRL, some of which you guys would have at the Chooks in a heartbeat.
Yes we know novice chook. But its a bit like Trump bashing. You also get some laughs out of it. I agree Pearce stuff is like the dead parrot sketch. It always has been. Even when he was playing in a Roosters jersey. The anger came from his teflon status, everyone else getting punished and Pearce getting off scot free. And the party boy atmosphere he had over the rest of the club while earning top dollar.

I forget who it was who made the comment early in 2018 that in nine months time we'd have an answer, It was replying to criticism of Cronk. The guy had done nothing wrong other than sign a contract. But Pearce had his base - still has for some.

It took an aging guy to guide a team carefully through the finals, playing most of the final and grand final with a broken scapula to show what true dedication to winning is. What respect for the fans, the kids and the sponsors was. Only when they see the light can they judge the difference between the true professional who puts the team above himself.

But in saying all of this Pearce was Easts problem. Robinson constantly talked him up, everyone covered. The guy had a serious alcohol problem and no one had the courage or good sense to address it. So for both parties it was time to part the ways. Pearce is bitter because the Roosters gave him a sense of entitlement.

Now both may sledge the other. Good luck to him with his new life. He looks to be finally delivering. Unfortunately we found out last week and wasn't that on the radar.

    the bloke is a mherkin

    Short answer. No.

Longer - Personally if I dumped her for good reasons, an ex would be no longer hot.

In the Pearce analogy, she's be jumping around on that street, like a whirling dervish or star of Housos, trying to attract attention, kissing the ring that her new boyfriend 'Big Clem' had just bought her.

Only 3 times?! Freddy is about 10 times the player Pearce is. And a 10x better leader and bloke too.

I always said that i wished Pearce well at Newcastle. But it's now painfully clear that he was left traumatised by our Premiership win last year. So much so he partied all offseason and played like puss for the first 6 weeks this season.

We have to bite the bullet and play Verris at hooker. We have to play a proper dummy half. Put Rads at 14.
Aubs is a 2nd rower / utility player, not a starting centre. Surely we have a centre in our squad?
    Joey Manu? Where's he?
Face it Latrell is a match winner easily in the top 2 attacking back Teddy been the other..in a slight slump so what .Id pay him end of story.Hopefully SOO will bring him down to earth and into form.

He is a ball running, try scoring , goal kicking centre that make the halves look better.
defences won’t rush up as they are worried about him getting the ball in a 1 on 1.
that gives our halves more time and space.
1 million is money well spent I say.

Inside word is that the groin injury is an excuse so he doesn’t go through the ring of no being picked for SOO.

The guy remains much maligned. 71 posts proves that.

As if you wouldn’t be pumped to score the try that seals the win against your old club? It’s theatre

Who cares, he plays for Newcastle now. He can continue to kick the ball dead on the last for them.

    We will get retribution

The reason I’m surprised is that for some bizarre reason I thought he was the reflective type. Probably down to the large Buddha tat and the Bikram yoga and all that. Turns out Pearce is a poseur.

His response speaks volumes. As someone upthread said, soccer players don’t celebrate when they score against old clubs and soccer players are complete mercenaries.

I agree that it’s human to act out and he deserves credit for his career, but he’s a self-entitled brat really.

Yeh I get it, as fans equally we also have the right to react to his pettiness whichever way we want to. Personally I lost a lot of respect for him over comments made last year. But I still appreciate the service, blood & sweat he put into our club over a decade with lots of difficult times.

I just don't get why people are surprised that he's acting out.

For us this was a round 11 game that will largely be forgotten about by the next time we play a game.

For him this was probably one of the most significant moments in his life to date.

But lets just take the high road and move on, this shouldn't mean that much to us anymore. The personal attacks back are just as petty. Move on, talk about our current halfback or talk about who our next halfback is going to be, not about the halfback we used to have.
