Everyone wants Victor at lock and yeah he adds something more when he plays lock and that’s that link position he plays when there and I can’t argue he’s a great 13.

But geez we have a good one there already - what do we do with Isaac if Vic goes to 13? Bench is the obvious answer but he is too good for a bench player.

Can someone tell me how Isaac plays differently when he's a lock compared to when he's a front rower? No reason why Victor and Isaac can't sometimes be on the field at the same time.

            Agree!
If there's any truth in the rumours then negotiations will be interesting given he's managed by the slimy Isaac Moses. Moses is on the nose with Politis and co from a few years ago. I think it was over his nephew Mitchell reneging on a deal to join our club & instead sign with Parra.

Yeah fair enough. But what I am getting at is that he may want to go to a club where he could get a start in first grade every week.

There isn't much difference but Isaac sometimes is used as a passing link when playing Lock. The Lock also usually takes a hitup later in the set, which works well for Isaac to use his footwork against retreating defences after JWH and/or SST have established some good go forward early in the set. If Radley played Lock, it would be better he alternated with Butcher and we used Liu on the Front Row rotation. Spoilt for choice, I will agree.

That club doesn't exist for now, so his best chance of attracting a more permanent position elsewhere, down the track is showing what he can do for a few months at the Roosters.

No immediate chance of that happening. Bears use him as a sub for their regular hooker. How will he get fit for long minutes under this arrangement?

Good problem to have. Both players can play edge and give Cords a rest

I might prefer Api Koroisau who is likely to be on the move from Manly, according to one article I read on the weekend. Not sure about Api's defence though - can anyone comment? And a second question - can anyone say for sure whether we would need to lose a player to sign a player or does the exit of Craig Garvey see one spot still open in the Top 30?

Api would be first choice hooker at most clubs, he'd cost much more than lichaa

                              Just reported by the Mole

Lichaa hasn’t fulfilled his potential at the Bulldogs but you can rest assured he will be a gun under Robbo in our system..

                              Sign him up!

Surely there's somebody who can do a Matagi? Sign for chips, gun it for part of a season and then use us as a springboard.

IMO we've been left in the dark on that one as Garvey's still in our 30 despite the fact NSWRL have allowed him to play for Hills District Bulls.

My guess is that due to that stupid rule that you've gotta lock in your 30 before you know shyte we've had to lock Garvey in and use Verrills as a development player. Thus, we're stuck in a position where:
                              - Garvey will never wear a RWB jersey... he's not even toast, he was just a mouldy piece of bread.
                              - Verrills isn't ready (but the NRL's happy for us to use him) so in the NRL's eyes we've also been given special treatment. Not their problem that we choose not to play him...
                              - If we can find somebody who is willing to take $105,000 a season with zero chance of playing finals footy or getting a premiership (because Friend will be back) then the NRL might be willing to negotiate something. BUT... we are #1 on the ladder, Radley is a better backup hooker than most teams have, we have a surplus of forwards in our 30 (e.g. with Sitili, Collins, Butcher...etc all coming good) so I reckon we're probably stuck with the ghost of Garvey in our 30... taking up a spot for no reason.
                              - I presume this is why there has been no official announcement about why Garvey has 'left'... because he hasn't 'left' the Roosters... he's still on a ~$105,000 - $150,000 contract and forms part of our 30. If he 'leaves' then the Roosters could be penalised for not having a valid 30 and thus 'cheating'.
                              - My even further guess is that Garvey isn't injured and instead has some kind of auto-immune condition that's too uncertain for him to play NRL. He's fit and wanted but the Raiders had issues with him getting hit hard by minor bugs. This is rumour mongering I know, but IMO there's something delicate/nuanced going on but rules are rules so the easiest option is to just keep him in the 30, name the relevant development players (who can be used with permission or after June 30) and seek special permission to change our 30 if somebody comes up (neither variable is a certainty).

I hope not, he is incredibly slow out of dummy half and has poor service. If the Bulldogs don't want him and they ae coming LAST..... why would we let him stuff up our attack, and I see no future for him when Friend comes back . Pass.
