  • Offical match day thread: Roosters v Tigers

Thereís only one way we could lose this one. Thatís complacency.

Parra put 50 on this mob. If we respect them and take them seriously we should rack up a cricket score too.

Toups on fire on Anzac Day. Iím expecting a double from him tonight.

    Go Roosters!

I agree complacency is our enemy tonight.

A few reasonable judges are saying they will really push us tonight.

          I can't see it ...Easts by 24.

The Roosters have had a couple of tough games against the Storm and St George. We've also had a long recovery period since the Anzac Day clash. So we should be freshened up for the Tigers and have too much talent across the park. Matto is playing well for them and Marsters is a threat but we should do what we need to account for the Tiges. The score will reflect what 'mood' we are in. They have given us scares in recent years.

I agree I expect us to win, and that in prior seasons they have been our bunnies, but they are a different side under Maguire this year (except for the Parra thrashing). I have seen a couple of gutsy performances from them so they could give us a hard time.

Tigers last week played great footy

They'll stay with us in the first half & hope the ref gives them the breaks in the second.

A tight one, chooks by 2

Will most likely be a tight game due to the refs helping them and possibly some complacency or some errors from us, easts by 4

Just watched the highlights of when we played them last. Fergo does the terrific tackle on their big winger and then, after the ref's whistle blows full time, Victor rewards him by giving him the big chest on chest and poor old Fergo collapses.

If we play the full 80 we'll go well tonight. Go Chooks!

I hope the bench performs better than it has this season because itís when our rotation is on is when the opposition seems to get back into a match. The return of the starting players closes out the game. Itís seems the pattern for this season acoompanied by circumstantial stuff the team is powerless over.

Watching the Storm go down against a reserve grade Sharkies side was stark reminder that if you don't turn up in the right frame of mind it's still an elite sporting competition and any side can get the better of you.

We've had two big wins in two big games over the last fortnight, all the boys were given a few days off with the 9 day turn around so lets just hope we're ready to come out and show some improvement in our defence.
