  • Locking down Latrell

Uncle Nick needs to move quick on this now. Get it done nice and early, as the LOL would love nothing more than to jag his signature. I know Lats has said in the past that he wants to remain a Rooster, but money talks.....

    Thoughts?

What's the rush? He's not off contract until the end of 2020 and the Vermin Filth will need to find a replacement for GI before then. And I can't see the Chooks releasing him early to their mortal enemy.

We have all season to negotiate with Trell and no club can touch him until the season's end.

Bob McCarthy was talking on 2GB today about GI and already had a stab at us saying ‘we will go after the best centre in the competition...even if he is from the Roosters...(laugh, laugh)

Well they will have to wait until 2021 for him - perhaps they can play with 12 on the field til then. Mind you, with the refs in their pocket it will still be 13 ...

Not really, if they were to get his signature in the offseason, they would do everything to ensure the relationship between Latrell and the Roosters broke down so he would join them a year early.

And North Queensland thought they were a certainty to get Valentine Holmes. If Greenberg & co rubber stamp Inglis' salary cap exception Holmes will be off to the Rabbits when he realises he wont make it in the NFL

In the unlikely event Trell did sign with the Filthy Vermin I'd like to think that he was a man of his word and played out his contract, just like Angus did when he signed with the Chooks. The Filthy Vermin's influence over Trell would only be as strong as he and his manager allow it.

                            Nick wouldn't allow it.

I don't think he is going there but they are a pack of low grubs, unlike the Roosters.
