  • SOS Jake Friend

Our dummy half work in this game has been diabolical. Come back ASAP please.

Bloody hell this time last year some were calling Friends service from dummy half diabolical and wanted him replaced! Radley and Aubo have covered well but dummy half doesn't come natural to either of them.
Im just happy the Roosters can win without JWH!! Didn't think it was possible

I thought previously Radleys service was acceptable , tonight though describing it as diabolical is probably being generous . Horrific is more accurate , bit like Xerri's hands tonight

You talk the words right outta my mouth . Rads is still learning dummy half and will get better. Be great if Jake is a back for the game against the cheats though. This team is even better than last year's and hasn't really got out of second gear . Exciting times ahead .

Robbo talked about Morris/Friend/JWH in the post match press conference, mentioned that Morris is a couple of weeks away.

Not me. He was worse than diabolical at that time. And then he went on to be the best of his career.

                      yeah we miss our Friend

yet our team is learning how to cope without him & JWH.......& Cronk

Can only improve our resilience in covering for our most important senior players & ultimately our chance at back to back

                          Ease up Tobin.
Enjoy the attacking flair that wasn’t there with Jake.
We are humming.. if anything, we are peaking too early.

Plus, I think Jakes injury is career threatening.

Yes Friend has had ups and downs. He had some great seasons like when he was second to Smith as hookers and then some not so great where even that McCulloch went past him but since Cooper Cronk, he has found his Mojo again. It happens. Had we still been with Pearce he’d probably be in the not so good moments.. He may even get picked for QLD this year.

Disagree Friend is probably the most consistent player in our squad he is up there with Maubs you know exactly what you're getting with him every season. 100% whole hearted effort with plenty of passion for the jersey.

You can marry up Friend's popularity with our success. When we haven't had success in a while we need something new, something different, something more exciting. When we're winning he's a representation of our tough values and his lack of creativity is no longer an issue we just love his good quick service and reliable defence.

The only time Andrew McCullough could be regarded a better player than Jake was for the 4 days he was on this earth before Jake was born. It's a fallacy to claim anything else.
