No big surprise its only early in the season better to be cautious and not risk making the injury any worse.

Yeah, I thought that last week.
Hamstring tightness is a bullshit type injury

Not many people retire mid year in the NRL, let alone 3 weeks into a season , however Cronk could be that guy.

Retirement was always happening after this year.

It's who he is replaced by that is more interesting.

It won't be Lam Jnr or Brock Lamb. They made the same mistake by trying Hastings Jnr.

Lam Jnr has talent but he won't be steering us to GF victories for a few years yet.

Just hope Coops is back for next weeks game against the Broncos. We need to be as close to full strength to win that one.

He will see out the season but wont play every game.

Its called old age and theres nothing wrong with that as with age comes wisdom and his value, as already proven in last years GF, is worth its weight in gold.

In that case TPJ may be retiring as well, as he seems to spend regular time out with a hamstring injury. And he's far younger than Coops.

I have vague memories of Cliff Lyons being a supersub at the end of his career, same with Phil Blake.

I dunno man. I think that even a grade 2 tear can become grade 3 (and therefore chronic) in the older gentleman.

With that being the risk, better to leave it for a few extra weeks before coming back. Especially at this point of the season.
