They have nothing in the cap. Absolutely no chance.

Cap questions aside, I wouldn't have a problem with him going back there. We don't really have a place for him. He helped us win a premiership and will always be a Roosters hero. And, kind of a nice story - the prodigal son returns.

        ..it’ll be interesting to see

Would suck to see him go back and watch him play in a shit team every week.

I like the guy too much.

I like it only because maybe then the Dogs will be bearable to watch on TV.

Maybe a contract to coach them?

He ain't going to a struggling club to get smashed.
Maybe as a coach of some type.

I think Sonny would want to be part of a team at age 34 rather than be the whole team. I have no idea it's just what I think.

On a serious note, anyone for sbw in 2020? One year playing contract and then as an assistant coach in in 2021.
With cronk retiring, we'd have the money.
                    Lam or Lamb step up.

                      Not as a player.
In 2014...5 years ago... he said he struggled in the NRL..

                      As assistant coach and mentor?
                      Certainly.

Really? Just cause we didn’t win the comp doesn’t mean he struggled.

I think your missing my point bb. He presence is immense. Only Israel Folau would command his aura. Having him sitting on the bench, what an impact he would have and of course over SOO time.
But yes, his "after footy" work would be the most important thing, working with juniors.

I thought he was the Mufti the other day when I saw him on TV.

Personally, I would stop frothing over the idea as it would be a very very long shot for any further input from the great man with our club.
