The Farmer has looked weak so far which is surprising. Butcher is made for these conditions and has had some good touches. Good play by Lam and quality finish by Lewis

Bears went down 18-14 in one that got away,.

Atrocious conditions so plenty of errors esp 2nd half, after decent quality first half.

I liked the look of Max Bailey and Asu Kepaoa. Butcher was a machine workhorse, played the 80. Lachie Lam a classy player to watch.

Tom Amone. Junior rep played Manly ISP last year, signed by Souths for 2 years.

Of the so called fringe first graders

                  Farmer looking FPN-esque!
Butcher played whole game, tough "robot".
                  Lam had some nice touches.
                  Lamb did ok.
Stilli reminds me of a young raw Tawera Nikau.
                  Ikuvalu had a shocker

If Souffs have their own reserve grade team why don't we?

Ikuvalu is pretty average. Our depth out wide is a concern if he is next cab off the rank.

He was poor yesterday, but Im giving all players the benefit of the doubt in those conditions.

We have Billy Smith and Ryan Hall back soon to bolster the depth.

I reckon this young buck Kepaoa who we took to the WCC, could be pretty handy. Fast, athletic type.

Nat Butcher 66 tackles and made 237 metres. At least we know he's got a motor!

In our only trial against Manly he dropped two simple bombs that led to tries.

Decent players stand out in reserve grade despite the conditions.
