But in return Latrell needs better advice from those close to him and he also needs to display some strength to say no to these ****wits.
Agree, but how do we know that Deacon isnít the Don King in this story?

Itís disrespectful to presume Latrell is not aware of his own decision and the details therein.

        This.
Latrell wants to stay and we want to keep him. No reason to conclude that a change in his management will affect things either way.

Donít criticise Latrell yet. He hasnít gone anywhere. Of course they try hit him hard and early but it doesnít seem to stop him. Latrell is King.

He wants to play fullback and Inglis has got, what, 2 years left in him?

I can see it happening unfortunately.

Yeah. Apparently Latrell doesnít understand his own affairs as well as the Chookpen does.

The article was written by Rothfield. How accurate is it?
I remember him stating only last year on NRL360 that Crichton was having second thoughts about coming to the Chooks.
Everything he writes in the Telecrap I question cause he acts on rumours to get a story.
In saying that, even if itís a legit story, it doesnít mean Latrell would be considering leaving the Chooks. Heís stated only a few weeks ago that he loves it here and wants to play for the Roosters till the end of his career.
Dont be surprised if early into the season we hear that he has extended his contract.
Iím sure it would be a priority to secure him long term.

Has he said he will leave the Chooks unless he can play FB? Has he even said he wants to play FB? He goes alright at centre ...

                      LATRELLíS AGENT SPLIT

SUPERSTAR Latrell Mitchell is dealing with a messy off-field issue that is starting to concern Sydney Roosters on the eve of the premiership.

The boom centre has split from his agent Steve Deacon and wants to join the stable of boxing promoter Matt Rose, who is setting up an all-indigenous player management company.

There is talk of Mitchell taking legal action to get out of his current agreement.

Rose looks after the affairs of South Sydney Rabbitohs five-eighth Cody Walker among other players.

Deacon did not return our phone calls or text messages.
For a start Latrell can't take legal action. He has a contract with his manager.
Latrell, not sure the brothers know how to explain this to you.

Just go to your manager tell him you want to leave and pay him what he is owed for this year and next.
Hopefully you have saved some money, give him his $70,000 - $80,000 and move on.

Your manager won't be happy, his money tree has come to an end, but you pay out your contract and move on.
That's what normal people do, but hey that doesn't make a good gossip story.

Why does he need "the brothers" to explain anything? Why the pejorative?

How quickly it turns. Fickle, fickle arseholes man.

Or maybe he's suggesting that it's the brothers who are stupid. Either way, just a bone-headed, ignorant post. ('Taking legal action' is the journalist's phrase, not Latrell's. Latrell has every right to change managers - why would he be doing it to 'make a good gossip story'.) The kind of post that another club could print out and show him and ask him why he would want to play for a club that has fans like that.

Not sure why. Regardless of manager, any player would test waters. Not sure why Latrell should be any different.

As is always harped-on about over at these parts, if we want them, we keep them. If he does decide to leave Easts (and Iím not sure what his mgmt has to do with it), Iíd be as spewing as the next guy. But good luck to him, he has a family to support.

Heís great but Easts are greater.

Exactly. We both know whatís going on here. ďUppity blacksĒ is the subtext.

Indiginous players are massively over represented at the NRL level, yet afaik there are no Indigenous player mgmt groups. Whatís the big deal?
