  • Asu Kepaoa?

I see that Asu Kepaoa has been named in the 23 man squad for the WCC. I know he's an outside back from NZ who played in our Harold Matthews side last year, but that's about all I could find. Can anyone give us any insight into this kid and his playing ability? What are his strengths and his likely prospects of cracking the NRL?

I also note Brock Lamb did not make the squad, while Lachlan Lam did. Is this indicative of the current pecking order, or is Lamb injured?
The Sydney Roosters have today announced a 23-man squad will travel to England in lead-up to the World Club Challenge against the Wigan Warriors at DW Stadium.

Interesting that Hall was named in the squad. Thought he was still quite a few weeks off a return.

          Thanks Yak.

Big, rangey, light on feet, good fend. Bit like our other centre/wings.

Though, 34 unanswered first half Roosters points, show the tigers defence didn’t bother turning up.
          ..it’ll be interesting to see

They all look good in attack on youtube except you also have to know how to defend.

I think Maubs will be in the centres & I dont think Tetevano will play.
Butcher, Liu, Poasa Faamausili & Collins on the bench.

Can't see Robbo going without a utility on the bench.

If they have an injury in the centres then Crighton would move to the centres & Liu would move to the backrow, If Tedesco got injured Morris to FB Manu to wing & Crigton to centre & Liu to the backrow. If Keary got injured Maubs to 5/8 & Crighton to centre & Liu to backrow. The other 3 on my bench would cover the middle rotation.

I think Lam might end up on the bench. Having said that, Radley and Maubs can effectively become utilities should injuries occur during the game.

Brock Lamb was given the opportunity to travel over but only if he paid his way, given he was yet to spill blood for the team. He declined.
