Word of advice... stay away from GI and Barba.

Guessing there's video evidence and lotsa people saw it if it happened as it was allegedly at the casino. Bennie you stupid idiot!!! Add him to the long list I compiled the other day!!!

Good on the Cows as you said though. Usually clubs north of Kempsy have a habit of hiding shyte and paying off places not to release footage...etc.

Wow! That really changes the landscape for premiership threats. Cows have great forwards and would have gone far with an in-form Barba.

I'm presuming Cronulla won't let Holmes play for them this year.

Bolton and Barba gone? I never rated them anyway. They recruited heavily but have always done nothing with far too much talent. This year they just randomly loaded up on outside backs having lost JT (who was pretty much their team).

They'll be like the Raiders (1 big forward [Taumalolo ~=Papalii] and a few crafty outside backs with a small town stadium subjected to ridiculous weather conditions, helping to boost their home record)... humid weather specialists rather than cold weather specialists though.

Wonder if Nene's wishing he didn't tell the Dragons he wanted to go 'home'...

Barba was killing it in the SL and has been instrumental in taking 2 NRL sides to GFs … An in form Michael Morgan is arguably in the top 5 players in the NRL … JT in the forwards to be helped by McGuire, Hess, Cooper, McLean …

I'd argue Barba was more important to them than Teddy is to us, in that we've got other match winners in the 1-5 jerseys and they don't.

Good point. Could be a big problem. Isn’t Brock Lamb a goalkicker?
Maybe play him in the centres to replace Latrell?

Valentine Holmes is who they wanted mate not Barba the cows took a chance on barba having woken up to himself and its backfired on them.Holmes will come home to townsville straight away if he is not picked up by an nfl club which in my opinion is what will occur.I was having a look at the cows pack its arguably one of the best the best in the NRL but they have problems in the backline they are supportive of valentine but secretly i reckon they are hoping he is on his way home after the trials over there

I agree. However, the Cows always have like 4 or 5 Kangaroos forwards in their pack. They can ALWAYS afford is somehow [cough... property developer] but they never do anything.

This year they woulda been relying on a rocks and diamons hooker as their primary playmaker and Ben Barba (aka poorly behaved RTS clone) to carve things up.

Are the Warriors a better comparrison? Bunch of big kiwi forwards, a shartarse FB with a cool step and a highly rated hooker. Good team. Solid team. Not a serious GF prospect though...

After watching Latrell in that Fox show last year interviewed by Yvonne Simpson and the other ladies, I saw a side of him that showed some softness in character that you don't see of him on the field. He was humble, a little funny and very respectful, something that you don't see from Mundane. Footy to him is only at the Roosters, the rest is about being the kid and the young man and father, and has a family that has instilled those good values. Unlike Mundine, I feel that Latrell will be a person who builds bridges between people so I am not surprised that for this situation he is following his culture and by doing so will encourage those in his culture to follow him and his ways.

Lamb will probably play 5/8 with Keary out........

They might go with Morris in the centres with someone like Lewis to play on the wing, would be a good experience for Lewis if so......

I think the Sharks made it conditional as part of Holmes release that if he were to come back in 2019 it'd have to be with the Sharks.

But from 2020 I've little doubt he'll be a Cowboy. I don't know how they'll fit him in but they'll do it.

Matt Ikuvalu has been training with the squad and could slot in.

There is a snippet in the Telucrap tonight about the vultures circling Latrell, apparently the big name player managers are trying to steal him from his current manager.

After what he contributed to our premiership last year, he is entitled to make his decision and I totally respect it. However, I'm disappointed he won't be there. I rate the WCC much more than the All Stars game. I feel we celebrate indigenous players enough in the NRL - and we have the indigenous round. I'm also very uneasy about teams being picked on the basis of race. Wigan will be right into their season by the time the Roosters get to England and he will be definitely be missed.

I think Latrell made the right decision.I think its great that he is showing that his Indigenous background means so much to him that he puts it before a WCC- not many 21 year olds would give up the trip to France and England to play in a WCC. However Latrell is showing he isnt just your average 21 year old on and off the field. I hope he inspires more young Aboriginals to play rugby league and even better i hope they come to the Roosters. Im sure that the Roosters greatest ever player Arthur Beetson would be very proud of Latrells decision
