    such a talent is SJ

have empathy as his career has been maligned by the the worst coaches (apart from Cleary)

& surrounded by a team of lazy wannabes (not including Sheck)

his body language and lack of interest is obvious

but he enjoyed playing the test under Madge

at 29 he would definitely take a pay cut to join Easts & win a ring

How can we argue against the wisdom of uncle Nick

So whilst the idea of Johnson coming here and injuring himself is bad, id say that the probability of that should lessen
Teddy's injury history was always overstated. He tore his ACL in his first career game and from then on you'd here stats like, "he's missed 30 of his first 80 games". Well duh, he tore his ACL in rnd 1 of his debut season.

Apart from that he fractured his patella, and Ryan James broke his jaw which could happen to anyone. So when you look at his past 5 or so seasons he's actually been pretty durable.

Also when we signed Teddy he was 25 in his first season. Johnson would be 29. Huge difference.

No way would we offer SJ more than a 2yr deal - similar to Maloney when he was the same age. In contrast one of the dogshit clubs will probably offer him a massive 4yr deal. Who can forget the Tigers giving Josh Reynolds a 4yr 3m dollar deal lolol We won't compete with that. Too smart.

Especially when 29/30 is roughly the age when players whose best assets are their physical gifts start to decline - see Benji, Inglis, Hayne.

Where as the genuine footy players like JT, Cronk and Smith are more durable at their peaks.

But if SJ was the same age as Teddy he'd be an awesome signing because of his talent. But not now imo. Not for the price he'll look for.

Latrell had a year as good as RTS but got 5pts; less than half of what BlowJob Leilua earned as Dally M centre of the year. Stupid braindead award.

I also wonder how RTS felt seeing us win another comp; knowing he's at a club that isn't even close to winning one.

Ironically if he stayed we might not have won the comp because Teddy was so instrumental. We suffered one shit year but in the long run we ended up replacing him with perhaps the worlds best player.
I doubt RTS cares. He's on $1M a year, is club captain, got a Dally M and gets to live in NZ.

If he'd stayed here on $350k a year our 2016 season still woulda been ordinary, Latrell/Manu/Fergo may not have all entered the scene (or had the same amount of development opportunities).

RTS gave us his best season to date at a bargain (rookie) price and bagged us a premiership. That was like 5 years ago and we have all moved on to greener pastures.

IMO it comes down to desire rather than coin for it to happen.

He should be sitting pretty cash wise, hes been NZs highest profile player most of his carrer, youd think he would have endorsements out his arse.

I reckon if he meets Our Coach and Uncle Nick and Cronkite and he buys in it wont be about money, it will be about releasing that massive wasted potential.

If that all rolls I reckon the rest of the comp should be shitting themselves.

Robbo really could tap that farker.

          Such a juicy proposition.

That still might happen. Don't think he is happy up there and now split with his girlfriend. Stranger things have happened.

I’d take him back if he wanted to come. Besides Cronk he is the next best halfback out there. If he had been 7 in the 2 test matches just played instead of DCE Australia would have done a lot better.

The question that needs to be asked is: Can a 22-year-old Brock Lamb win a competition like Cooper Cronk just did. Or could Shaun Johnson win a competition with this team behind him?

Forget what he has been like in the past. Think about what he would be like in our system and under Robbo.

And ppl can say no all they want, but get on board because we will be going hard for him.
