Maubs will do what JT couldn't this year and go out with a premiership.
I hope Cronk goes out with a premiership in 2020.
We will only get better and I just can't see who improves that will challenge us. Only injuries will beat us (touch wood).
Fcuking Archer and one or two Suttons off will also help us.

Fittler will pick Radley for SOO duties.

N.B Got me thinking..............based on good early form and without serious injuries, realistically almost half of our squad may be playing for the Blues - Teddy, Latrell, Keary, Crichton, Cordner, Radley
That's why Brock Lamb will be an astute buy.

those are the problems with having a red hot side your team ends up playing rep footy together and as they have team work it makes them look even better see how it evolved in the current australian side, they were even callling roosters codes for playson the lhs, looked so good with cords, tewddy, keary and mitchell

Word is that we paid basically nothing for Lamb. He wanted to learn under Cronk.

Would love it if Lamb or Lam really steps up and Keary continues to develop as a game manager. If we're paying one of those two something affordable we could keep Cronk until 2020 (if that's an option), and still have money to keep Latrell and Joey etc.

You probably can't win 11 premierships in a row any more, but this group has a chance to do something special.

Dart lost the head of his chicken suit at the Souffs semi.

Then, amazingly, someone who found it brought it to the GF, recognised him even though he was in civvies and gave it back to him. An absolute stranger.

It was yet another GF miracle.

"On 9 July, during a close game against the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, Newcastle were given a penalty in the final seconds of the game with the score at 20-18 in favour of Canterbury. The first choice goal-kicker Trent Hodkinson handed the ball to Lamb to give his side the chance of sending the game into golden point extra time by kicking the goal. Lamb missed the conversion and Canterbury won the match, after the game Hodkinson was questioned as to why he gave the kick to level the game to Lamb. In the aftermath of the loss, Lamb was mocked on social media for his missed conversion attempt."

One reason why you'd want a better mentor. Burned then relegated because Watson and Pearce were signed. Probably makes him quite happy to join their old club and learn under 2 Australian rep halves.

Hope he isn't shyte though. Is he any good? He has played 1st grade... poorly. Hopefully he develops quickly like Radley given the right environment.
