  • Roosters Charity Event !!!!! 09/02/2011

The Sydney Roosters and Ritz Randwick Cinemas are giving Roosters Members a chance to see an exclusive pre-screening of the new film, 127 Hours, this Wednesday, 9 February from 6.30pm.

Join members of the Sydney Roosters NRL squad to catch the movie before its cinema release on Thursday 10 February with all profits raised from tickets sales donated to the Club’s Ipswich relief fund.

127 HOURS is the true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston's (James Franco) remarkable adventure to save himself after a falling boulder crashes on his arm and traps him in an isolated slot canyon in Utah.

Throughout his journey, Ralston recalls friends, lovers (Clémence Poésy), family, and the two hikers (Amber Tamblyn and Kate Mara) he met before his accident. Over the next five days Ralston battles the elements and his own demons to finally discover he has the courage and the wherewithal to extricate himself by any means necessary, descend a 65 foot wall and hike over eight miles before he is finally rescued.

Told with a dynamic narrative structure, 127 HOURS is a visceral, thrilling story that will take an audience on a never before experienced journey and prove what we can do when we choose life.

Tickets are on sale for $20 each and you will get the chance not only to watch this exclusive pre-screening but also to mingle with some of the Roosters biggest names. The price includes the movie as well as a small drink and small popcorn. The screening starts at 7pm.

All Tickets can be purchased via RITZ Venue online ticketing system including over the counter, online, through the Ritz Cinema iphone application and through phone bookings. Standard booking fees will apply: $1.50 per ticket online and $1.00 per ticket with phone bookings. All tickets are available for collection from the box office, tickets will not be posted.
