Losalu is a great example to those youngsters plying their trade through our pathways program.
Daniel Anderson said it nicely. Hardwork and perseverance pays off.
There is light at the end of the tunnel.

The Sydney Roosters are pleased to announce that the prop forward Taylor Losalu has signed an extension through to the end of 2027.
Losalu’s extension is a testament to his rapid development and perseverance through the Roosters’ junior and reserve grade pathways. After helping the Club reach the 2023 Jersey Flegg Grand Final, Losalu stepped up to the NSW Cup in 2024, where he was named the Roosters' NSW Cup Player of the Year.
The 22-year-old made his NRL debut earlier this season and has already featured in three first-grade matches, showcasing his strength and work ethic in the middle of the field.
“Taylor has taken the longer route to the NRL. He’s combined working with training and playing and his success is an example to any aspiring player that determination, perseverance and a great work ethic can be rewarded with a professional contract,” said Roosters Head of Recruitment, Daniel Anderson.

HDTONE started this thread in recognition of Losalu being rewarded for all his hard work. Would it be too much to ask that we keep the sledging and personal battles out of this thread? You're cooperation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..

Like imagine you're on $120k with a family in western Sydney, commuting to the SFS every day and cop a $2000 fine. Be a pretty rough month ahead IMO!

CONCRETE OFFER
Roosters forward Taylor Losalu has done his last shift as a concreter. The 22-year-old is the rookie prop who helped the Chooks beat the Penrith Panthers in Round 2 on a Friday night then went to work at 7am on the Saturday morning to build a driveway. The Roosters have now upgraded the youngster from a $20,000 contract to an extended full-time deal worth about $120,000.
Great to be adding to our forward pack with another promising young bloke and not an overpriced import.

Being a slab of a human, he will be in the mix to help form a solid pack. The full time deal will put him on an equal footing with the rest of the squad.

Nice to add another decent prop to the squad. The mortar merrier.

Actually so excited for when this bloke plays again. Gonna be hard to grab a spot in this team once everyone is healthy.
