At his press conference today Robbo said Brandon Smith is undergoing a medical with the vermin today and if everything checks out the release should happen later today.

    Good.
Let's hope he leaves them in a mess too!

Yup. Whilst I like Cheese when he’s at his best as a player and I like the fact he’s a bit of a rogue, I like to watch him from afar. Didn’t think he was ever a cultural fit for our club. We are usually so guarded and discrete with our business. So are Melbourne, which is why they were keen to get rid.

I think Souffs do not have the same cultural standards as Melb or us so he is more of a natural fit at that club. I think he’ll go well for them. I also don’t think he’s anywhere near talented enough to directly influence a teams chances at winning a comp though, either as a dummy half or a running lock. Plus when Bennett goes I see him phoning it in. Souffs are so short term focused and it’s great to see. If Bennett can’t get them in the Top 4 in the next couple seasons he’s there, I see them being in for a decade of pain and Cheese will likely leave them in a similar way.

    He was a Rooster twice.

    Time to move on.

“I was not playing good enough and taking up a lot of the Chooks’ salary cap, I understand the decision of why they’re moving on. It’s not like they’re moving me on for no reason”.

“[Expectation] weighed on me after a couple of games where I knew I didn’t perform as well as I should have, and probably maybe cost them a few games in there”.

“It’s obviously hard to take in when you’re not feeling wanted or appreciated. I’ve got no problem with that. They’re just hurt feelings. But they want to win and unfortunately I wasn’t doing the right job for them, so they’ve moved me on and I’ve moved on too.”
A pretty mature and fair response from Brandon to be honest.

I thought the Cheese was playing pretty good footy before he got injured, he's a hard nut & a its a shame he's been moved on.
It was the first year in a while we had things turning on at the right time heading into finals and potential top 2 finish before that raiders game
plus rads injury and the loss which lost the top 2 chance
to be any chance last year we needed to be at full strength - in particular Walker which we we’re
