I just don’t know about Storm players.
Sure Cooper Cronk was ideal, but he is also a future immortal.

But most of their players that sign elsewhere normally fizzle out. I honestly think it’s just Bellamy. He just gets the best out of his guys.
Other than Cronk, Tino and Drinky I can’t really think of any others that have hit the ground running.

Apart from Sam Walker these are all rookies or players who have yet to make their debut. If we assume 3 years to develop these young players into good/great first graders that means we won't have a competitive halves pairing until 2028 at the earliest and that's if they give up on Sandon tomorrow and announce someone else at 6 which isn't going to happen.

Of course players can develop quicker but I say 3 years as that seems to be about the average.

I can see 2 major problems in my opinion.
centre/wing defence and our forwards.

Watching a couple of games on the weekend, obviously broncos but Hass and carrigan went hunting and absolutely dominated.
Same with but to a lesser extent Paseka and TKO for manly. Those 2 just worked so well together.
I just can’t see Whyte as our long term forward. Collins I’m on the fence with. He just seems frustrated, he shows up in defence but constantly dominated in attack.
I don’t know what the answer is but hopefully the higher ups do.

akso what’s with Wong! He looks so silky but literally won’t take a tough carry.
