Coming up on social media feeds all sorts of anti Robbo, anti easts crap over this, like "rugby league expert Andrew Voss calling for hefty fine by NRL of roosters coach Trent Robinson for assassinating the character of Eliott Whitehead, who has only ever been charge twice by the NRL in his life".

Andrew Voss is a public masturbator par excellence, and is right up there as one of league's most annoying, stupid and dull commentators. So he hates Easts? That's his problem.

It takes a special kind of psychopathology and bias to allow your own prejudices to go on the attack to defend a grub who has grievously injured a fellow player with an attack of foul play, and attempt to reverse the moral high ground and play the victim.

The guy is a piece of shite, and good on Robbo for not accepting his "apology".

Let’s imagine the situation was reversed. The media would go all out to back Ricky being the passionate guy he is defending his players against a grubby act from a rich powerful club player who rubs out a poor disrespected, underdog faiders player.

I'd bet my left nut that Ricky told pommy to bring it up at the presser. Honestly is there a bigger whinging coach.

Those who hate us will laugh and have a go at Robbo. Those who love us will say pommy is a pussy for bringing it up and playing the victim card.
We know who's side the media will always be against.

Personally ICGAFF what Robbo said to the grub.

I thought it was all done with. Maybe one more crack at Robbo's pre-game presser but he will brush it.

          Onto the next.

i don't get the ricky hate. he'll always be a roosters hero to me. yeah, he's capable of that sort of behaviour but in the presser he implied that he was okay with both of whitehead's sin binnings and when asked about our premiership prospects this year didn't act like he was glad we'd suffered these setbacks.

but yeah, there'll be at least one question about it at the pre-game presser and robbo will brush it off

Just watched the brains trust on NRL360, led by Gordon Tallis.

The upshot of their highly thoughtful and circumspect insights:

Kevin Walters is under unfair pressure for the broncos missing the 8. It's not his fault as he was handed an inferior roster - what else could he do?

The best roster has been handed to the roosters.

Coach Robinson has only won 3 premierships because he was handed the very best roster of players.

The roosters lost half their team on the weekend but that's no excuse as they still have the best roster (which was handed to Robbo). If Robbo is any kind of coach he will win the premiership this year as they still have the best roster (way better than Penrith and the Storm). Losing 3 key players to season ending injuries is actually an opportunity for Robbo to prove he can actually coach, as his past successes have been handed to him because the roosters are privileged.

              Did I miss anything?

Boy it's hard to follow this team - the level of hate in the media and NRL gets to be demoralising.

From years ago, after a loss, or some controversy, i don’t watch any league shows and even avoid the nightly news, the wife will sing out from the other room, “they’re talking about the roosters on tv” I just call back. Ok.

id rather forget about the previous week, and avoid everything (bar the chookpen) until our next game.

It's fcuking unbelievable mate, and quite tiring.

The one who really shits me these days (and should know better) is Phil Gould. He cannot hide his desire for us to fail, and if we do happen to succeed he only talks about our "rothsta"...(he seems to have developed a slight lisp in his old age). I'd love for us to win the whole damn thing this year just to watch his discomfort on camera.

This is why we need to win the comp this year. But losing to the Raiders is not good.

The gaslighting is next level, and emblematic of the entire western media in this very despairing, sad and demoralising time in our history.

Gus came out last night and said he thinks we can still win it. How dare that vile man say such things!

I think you miss the point completely here.

I guess I do because what I watched he was just stating that it's not the end of the world like some are predicting and that we have still have a lot of class in other positions.
