But I'm extremely confident we'll lose the penalty count for the 15th time in a row. Literally. But anyone questioning how this is possible is a disgrace, a whinger and a conspiracy theorist.
Alrighty then, gaslighters!
Coming from the master conspiracy theorist gaslighter.
Even after a win you blame the refs that we were ripped off.

We all just need to wait for them to pass down their infinite wisdom and tell us what to say and think. Because if you don’t think exactly as they do you shouldn’t watch NRL or barrack for East’s. All hail Statler and Waldorf.
The Chook & Melbourne have been the 2 most successful teams since the NRL started in 1988 so if there was some agenda against the Chooks we wouldnt be 1 of the 2 most successful clubs in the NRL but feel free to continue to feed into the conspiracy that the refs & NRL are against us.
If the Chooks are good enough they will win tonight & if the Chooks are good enough they will win the comp.

If those stats are only the last 4 years then it coincides with the introduction of set re-starts so it makes sense to me.
IMO there are 2 reasons we seem to get shafted by the refs:
1. We flout the rules. Shock/horror that the Roosters would be so devious. Ever since Robbo has been coach we have pushed the boundaries of the ruck offside. It worked pre set re-start because refs were reluctant to continually blow penalties for the sake of a flowing game. In fact, many commentators criticised them if they didn’t let the game flow. It’s much easier for them now to just continually restart the count.
2. The way Teddy talks to the refs doesn’t do us any favours. Problem is that’s not going to change until we change captains and even then there’ll be a period of adjustment. Next captain needs to take a leaf out of the Cameron Smith book of communication
Sutton was the ref who overruled the ‘6 again’ call in the 2019 GF which, according to some, is the reason we won, so we can’t complain too much!
