We should go close to winning the comp if Sam Walker performs.

I think having a smooth run with injuries is more important..

Even if Sam Walker comes out and plays like Thurston every week,it won’t help much if we keep getting decimated with injuries like the past few seasons.

Hopefully we get some change of luck!

The positive out of it if we can hold our own early it looks set for a decent run home with a late season charge.
        Indeed.

Broncos , when do we ever beat them.
Manly at full strength at Brookvale.
Dogs with all their new stars, their home game.
        Souths at full strength.
        Panthers
        Knights at their home game
Storm, when do we ever beat them.

If we're not "too big, too strong, too fast"...and too aggressive, too overpowering...we'll be on zero points going into the
        Anzac day game.

We need to be switched on, ready to play like the Kiwis did...
or we will most certainly get left behind like we do every season in rugba leeg.

The Warriors are a great example of what that leads to. IMO we didn't need the Dolphins and we don't need a PNG team (16 is enough and fans are already stretched when it comes to attendances).

Also on a similar note, just bloody hope we don't have another typical slow start next season !
To the NRL's credit (dont often get to say that), the Vegas 4 play another Vegas team in Rd2 .....so the 4 teams can't complain about jetlag or travel disruptions for their first local game after Vegas.

Why do we only ever seem to play the Tigers once? Last few years they've been almost a guaranteed 2pts and we usually only play them right at the end of the year.

A conspiracy theorist might have an opinion about it.

PNG (and Pacific Islands team/s) is said to be political, using rugby league to counter China's influence in the region.

Yeah we're not going anywhere with an attitude like that...

IMO the only way you do well is by making the 'good' teams your biatches. While it'd be nice to be able to make the top-4 by playing all the expected bottom-8 teams twice (Warriors style), there's no point doing that if you're gonna get bundled out like they did.

Only 2-3 teams will be serious premiership contenders this year. If we're one of them then we're not gonna be sobbing about having to play Manly and the Doggies. We'll be competitive buggers who WANT to play Penrith and co for the challenge.

Meanwhile everyone else with a functioning brain realises we play the Tigers once every year because people don’t want to tune in and watch us put 50 on them every time it’s a low rating fixture in a league where the draw is made to maximise ratings.

If your playing shit no draw is easy..lets see what they deliver next year

I’d tune in to see that twice a year.

Its time to kick souffs out of the comp again so we can go back to 16 teams
