    True enough though a League player with little or no Rugby background will find it nigh on impossible to find a spot especially in the pack - Brad Thorn a notable exception. Likewise, a Rugby man coming to League. Back in the day, when the two codes had much stronger cultures, most punts on signing Rugby chaps didn't work out though there were notable exceptions - The Gourlays (Father and son), Ray Price and the great Dick Thornett.

      [QUOTE=ism22;
      I get the comparisons but there's only one Jizzy and no NRL player has ever been able to run 400m as fast as me.
      My body's like a slightly taller version of Mini / Teddy with all the mad Italian genes. If selected I'd put the likes of JAC, Roberts and Saab to the test over 100m, even at my current age ......

      Okay, but can ya kick goals?

              No Keating was.

              But Albo is the worst ever and I have been a Labour man for probably more years than you have been on this beautiful one and free land.

                What are you 100?

                Albo is a big disappointment but not for the reasons that News harps on. Murdoch gave Albo the News imprimatur after he (Murdoch) as LNP campaign manager, demolished Shorten in 2019. He was set up as an easy future target just as we are seeing now - a dag devoid of charisma and prone to tugging the forelock.

                I admired Keating for his "Independant" national sentiments but he was/is ultimately Right Wing Labor and went, too enthusiastically, for Neo Con economic reform which has proved to be disastrous since Howard stripped away any safeguards like collective bargaining. No wage rises for decades, no strikes. Tory heaven.

                Albo, however, disappoints because on big Left/Right/Independence issues he (and the caucus) are such timid actors, shit scared of the Right Wing MSM monopoly and of our Right Wing security services. AUKUS, a Lib initiative which has drawn us further into the US embrace, Lib tax breaks for the rich, predictable Lib Right Wing positions on China, Israel and the Ukraine - all are reprehensible to the Left because they forfeit our independent voice but are the cost of clinging to power. His "excessive" overseas travel is a non issue but is one that the mugs can best understand.

                I'm a Green voter. I put the Libs a long last but experience has shown that the ALP is limited in what can be achieved when in power. The coup in '75 demonstrated that.

                          Politis just revealed on Ch9 that Suaali has told him he’ll be returning to the club in 2028 and that he’ll welcome him back.
