    Eels bag emerging young talent

The Eels have signed a giant young prop from the Roosters system.

Javahn Stevenson-Hala stands at 190 centimetres and weighs 108 kilos, and at 19, still has plenty of growth in him.

Born in New Zealand, the youngster played his early football for Palmerston North before being scouted by the Roosters a couple of years ago.

He has looked good in the Harold Matthews and Ball Cups for the Roosters and will be one to watch at Parra over the next couple of seasons.

also outside the top 30 news

Both Marschke bros, Reuben Porter, Allan Fitzgibbon, Jerry Key are staying at the Bears next year
They have also signed Riley Meyn from our NSW Cup
It's unknown where Ben Thomas is going but its assumed he will also stay with the Bears

Interesting note - Luke Phillips will be coaching their Tasha Gale team next year

For the Roosters NSW Cup team Hugo Savala has apparently signed with Rugby
Have no idea who the backup halves will be for that team...under new coach Brett Morris

Didn’t know that about Hugo Savala. He was a a good prospect from what I hear. It’s good to keep up with all the news from outside the top 30.

Damn shame about Meyn. Has been part of our development squads for a few years now.
Very impressive backrower with a good
motor and excellent timing when it comes to pulling off solid hits.

Be even more of a shame if he breaks through at the Storm over the next season or so...hurt as much as watching Jacob Preston

Tigers are a basket case. He'll find another gig.
