Who edits this stuff?
"Former Titans coach Justin Holbrook will also be apart of the new-look staff at the Roosters, signing with the Tricolours as an assistant from next season".
A completely different message when you consider what it should have said:
"Former Titans coach Justin Holbrook will also be a part of the new-look staff at the Roosters, signing with the Tricolours as an assistant from next season".1985: 1 try vs Parramatta, 1 try vs Manly, 1 try vs Wests, 2 tries vs Souffs
1986: 2 tries vs Illawarra, 1 try vs Balmain, 2 tries vs Norths.

We've lost Lodge and Baker. I think he's an upgrade on both who will add a lot of value to our pack.

So with Brett Morris taking on the NSW Cup Head Coach role along with his assistant NRL coaching role who will be the on field trainer running on the messages and water etc.
NSW Cup games are not played before NRL games, mostly, and with Matt King departing, it may well be Boyd Cordner taking on this role full-time.
Highly regarded Peter Mamo has joined the Roosters from Souths as the Elite Pathways Strength and Conditioning coach.

Changes? A dude who assisted Robbo with some drills and stuff has moved into a head coaching role with our reggies team.
JT coached the Bears long-term and I think this is a role that we're looking to take seriously with our new systems in place. Dare I say, his salary might also be paid out of a different bucket of money that doesn't impact our salary cap in the same way (i.e. it's probably a promotion and I doubt B-Moz would stay around if it wasn't, given he doesn't need the money & his profile's such that he could get an assistant coach gig anywhere in the NRL).
It's offseason. People seem to want shock stories. This one hasn't really shocked me at all. If anything, I'm happy for him as I was kinda wondering what'd happen with our reggies coaching once our agreement with Norths ended (it has ended now, right?)
Sure mumble mumble... reward loyalty... mumble mumble. I get it, but it's a bit like the old Rip Taylor situation. Solid coach who all the boys would happily raise a glass to, but not a guy who Robbo's gonna turn to for coaching advice. Brett Morris? Whole different class of footy IQ! If he says a player's ready for NRL then he probably is. Similarly if you're a fringe player and Robbo says 'mate you're training with B-Moz and the boys this week' then you know you haven't just been dropped... you're gonna learn some serious lessons about how to make it in the game from B-Moz.
Without any inside knowledge, my reading if this move is that we want our reggies team to be a professional outfit, similar to the Bears with JT. The continuity will be good and IMO our NSW Cup team has a big future once our top-30 players aren't being shared between two NSW Cup teams.
